Currently, I am a third-year student at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC working towards an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, with a minor in chemistry. My current research interests involve the cross-linking proteolytic enzymes such as chymotrypsin and pepsin with common cross-linking agents, chiefly formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde. Further, my current project involves the fabrication of immobilized enzyme microreactors (IMER) to produce a completely on-line procedure for the digestion of proteins. The peptides acquired from said digestions are subjected to separation by capillary electrophoresis and are then sent for MS analysis.
