Guanbo Wang received his B.S. degree from Peking University, China and Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA. Following the postdoctoral research at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, he joined Nanjing Normal University, China and was promoted to full professor in 2017. His research focuses on studying protein higher-order structures and functions. Based on strategies including native mass spectrometry, hydrogen/deuterium exchange and top-down proteomics, he develops mass spectrometry-based techniques that can be applied in areas ranging from deciphering mechanisms of biochemical reactions to biophysical characterization of protein therapeutics.
Oral contribution: Hydrogen/deuterium exchange during capillary electrophoresis allows proteome-specific characterization of protein higher-order structures
