Dr. Zhen Liu obtained his Ph.D. from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1998. He was appointed as a full professor at Nanjing University in 2005. He was awarded the title “New Century Excellent Talents in Universities” by the Ministry of Education of China in 2008. He was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2014. He has been a Distinguished Professor of Nanjing University since 2014. He is an associate editor of Analytical Methods and an advisory board member of journals such as Electrophoresis, Chinese Science Bulletin, Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry, and Chinese Journal of Chromatography. He serves as an executive council member of Chinese Mass Spectrometry Society and a board member of the Society for Molecular Imprinting. His research interests include molecular recognition, affinity separation, disease diagnosis, single cell analysis, and cancer nanotherapy. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed papers, with a series of papers published in prestigious journals, such as, Chem. Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Nat. Protocol., and Chem. Sci. His current h-index is 47 (Google scholar). He has authored and co-authored 2 books and 7 book chapters. He holds 13 authorized patents. He was awarded the Science & Technology Award (First Class) by China Association for Instrumental Analysis in 2011 and 2017. In 2020, he was awarded the Advances in Measurement Science Lectureship by the American Chemical Society.
